There are a few potential reasons why you've activated SPayLater but are unable to check out with SPayLater.
1. You may have missed a SPayLater payment or have no linked repayment method on your account
SPayLater accounts are temporarily suspended from overdue bills. To pay an overdue SPayLater bill and restore your account status, please go to the Me tab > select SPayLater > Select Pay Now > select a payment method > select Confirm > and proceed with the payment process.
Alternatively, your account may also be temporarily suspended if there is no linked auto repayment method on your SPayLater account. To add a payment method, go to
the Me tab > select SPayLater > find the Auto Repayment section and tap Manage > select Add New Card.
2. The checkout amount exceeds your Available Balance
Check that the total purchase value of your basket is within your Available Balance. If there are multiple items in your shopping cart, you can try checking out with
selected items separately, or use a second payment method alongside SPayLater to place your order. (Select your preferred SPayLater tenure option > Tap Confirm > Select either ShopeePay, PayNow, or CreditCard/Debit Card > and Confirm to complete payment.)
⚠️Note:
3. The seller, item, or checkout amount is not eligible to offer SPayLater
Most active sellers are eligible to offer SPayLater payment options. However, certain sellers may have opted out of offering SPayLater entirely. If all items within the
seller’s store are ineligible for SPayLater, kindly contact the seller directly.
Alternatively, a specific item may not be eligible for SPayLater as a result of our internal system policies. If your account is in good standing and the seller has not opted out of offering SPayLater, then we kindly suggest you checkout with other available payment methods.
Lastly, your order may not meet the minimum amount required to use SPayLater. Below are the SPayLater minimum checkout amounts:
$0.30 for 1-3 months tenures
$1.10 for 6 months tenure
$1.60 for 12 months tenure
